We/I the parent(s) or guardian(s) of:
do hereby authorize Cru to pick up our child from Bailey Middle School daily for a lunch time Bible study and grant Bailey Middle School the right to release him or her to Jack Moore or any Cru representatives that have been vetted by Cru with a professional background check. Cru shall provide Bailey Middle School with a list of approved volunteers who may transport our child to Perdido Bay Baptist Church for lunch and said Bible study.
We agree to release and indemnify the Board and its agents and employees from and against any claim for injury or death occurring while student is absent from school in order to attend this Bible study including travel to and from said study.
Cru shall maintain weekly attendance records and make them available to Bailey Middle School.
We believe the United States Constitution, Florida statutes, and district policies guarantee parents the right to provide religious education for their children.
Please credit our child for this instruction and substitute it for the non-core class accompanying lunch which shall not be attended. We understand that the Bible study will be a pass/fail class. Our expectation is that our child will not be penalized for attending Bible study. It is our belief that the Bible study is of greater academic and spiritual value than the non-core class. To penalize our child by flunking him for attending the Bible study will, in our estimation be religious discrimination.
